What’s new in the garden

What did one raindrop say to another? Two’s company, three’s a cloud!

Today it rained…and rained…and rained. That’s ok though, my garden was thirsty. When it finally stopped raining, I decided to slip into my boots and take a few pics.

I have a very special wedding coming up this weekend (but aren’t they all?!), and I was hoping to use a few of those beautiful ruby cosmos I grew from tiny little seeds in my greenhouse earlier this Spring. I wasn’t sure if the downpour had destroyed the rest of my crop, and I was eager to find out!

Nope! They’re still stunning! Oh happy day!!

I also spotted this little guy. He seemed very content chomping down on my butterfly bush! He needs all the energy he can get so that he can turn into a beautiful Monarch butterfly.

And check out that pumpkin patch. Tiny little pumpkins are already sprouting.
