Alexander Ramsay Chapter’s Annual Holly & Ivy House Tour is finally here!! This 35th annual holiday house tour is dedicated to supporting the initiatives of the Alexander Ramsay Chapter. This year’s recipient is L’Association des jeunes de la rue, Community Outreach : The Red Jackets and other IODE Projects.
The homes in this tour are uniquely decorated in Christmas themes, by their owners with the assistance of interior decorators. This year, we were asked to provide florals for 2 homes in this wonderful Christmas tour. The very talented Terry Vendetti was the interior decorator in both of the homes that we provided flowers for.
Terry requested that we use orange and green colours/flowers for one of the two homes. Although these are not considered ‘traditional’ Christmas colours, we think this might be our new favourite colour combination of the season!! Beautiful salmon Amaryllis, soft creamy roses and orange persimmons on a bed of winter greens. So elegant and refined for any Christmas dinner table.
Although the second house had more of the traditional red and green colours, Terry also included blue plate chargers and blue peacock feathers in his table setting, so we decided to add a little blue in the centrepiece as well. Rich red amaryllis and roses paired up with pinecones, pomegranates and rosehips make this table centre a perfect compliment to Terry’s decor.
And finally, who wouldn’t love these adorable little Santa boots!! They’re endearing enough on their own so we took a much simpler approach and only added winter greens, rosehips and a couple of pinecones. So sweet!!
We absolutely love this time of year. Don’t you!!
